The Senegalese-Moroccan company, Air Senegal International will celebrate its first birthday on 22 February. The first year has been more than satisfactory for the company' s managing department, which has realized a turnover of CFAF 11 billion, as against a 7 billion previous forecast.

A Boeing 757 and 737 will soon be purchased by the Senegalese-Moroccan company.

ASI has been servicing Bamako, Conakry, Las Palmas, Nouakchott, Praia, Bissau, Abidjan, Banjul, Ouagadougou and Cotonou, since 01 November 2001. As from March 2002, the airline company will also service new connections to Africa, namely Lomé, Niamey, and also to Europe. The USA will be covered in the medium term.

A meeting with the media and Air Senegal International managing deparment is planned for 17 January, at Novotel Hotel, during which the management department will assess the year and talk about its forecasts.
